Job summary

General Matter in Los Angeles seeks a detail-oriented Nuclear Licensing Engineer to support regulatory compliance and licensing activities for a nuclear fuel cycle facility. This role focuses on licensing actions, regulatory submissions, and engagement with regulatory authorities.

You will prepare licensing documents, communicate with the NRC, develop license strategies, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and legal teams to ensure ongoing compliance and smooth inspections.

Qualifications

  • Ability to prepare regulatory documents and reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review licensing documents per NRC requirements.
  • Communicate with NRC and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop strategies to obtain and maintain licenses.
  • Conduct technical evaluations for codes and standards.
  • Monitor regulatory changes affecting operations.
  • Support safety analyses and environmental reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, legal, and environmental teams.
  • Participate in inspections and regulatory meetings.
  • Maintain accurate regulatory records.
