Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations in Oak Harbor, Ohio seeks a Manager to oversee license renewal projects for the Davis-Besse license renewal program. You will manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and contractors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timely submissions to NRC.

The role requires heavy coordination across departments, strong leadership and communication skills, and experience progressing licenses from concept to implementation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years Nuclear experience with engineering or related field, or 10+ years with HS diploma.
• Experience with nuclear regulatory requirements is required.
• Experience coordinating multiple departments, budgeting, and managing projects is preferred.
• Preferred experience in nuclear license renewal applications and/or implementation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Transition to aging management programs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site resources and contractors involved in license renewal processes and projects.
• Manage project scopes, timelines, and budgets for efficient execution.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee applications, NRC reviews, and field inspections.
• Stay current with regulations and industry guidance through meetings.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
• Interact with regulatory staff during inspections and audits.
• Provide guidance to aging management program implementation.
