Job summary

EPRI is seeking a Nuclear Innovation, Technical Leader I in Charlotte, NC or remote. You will lead collaborative R&D projects to bring emerging nuclear technologies into deployable solutions, leveraging power uprates, digital modernization, and AI-enabled operations.

The role involves working with utilities, vendors, national labs, and regulators to shape the next generation of nuclear power. The ideal candidate has nuclear plant experience and a track record in innovative technical leadership,

Qualifications

• Experience with nuclear power plants and engineering, either as a utility employee or contractor.
• Experience with power uprates and digital innovation is a plus.
• Ability to work independently on technical activities and manage complex objectives.

Responsibilities

• Works independently on technical activities without direct supervision.
• Conducts technical searches and analyzes information to support the project team.
• Develops technical solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and cross-disciplinary knowledge.
• Communicates strategies and results to program members and external stakeholders.
• May provide oversight of a project team to ensure milestones are met.
• Organizes external and interdepartmental activities to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
