Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Oak Harbor, Ohio is seeking a Supervisor for Nuclear I&C Maintenance to lead and mentor a team responsible for safe, reliable plant operations. The role emphasizes coordination, planning, and adherence to procedures and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of I&C experience, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and outside contractors, ensuring timely, compliant maintenance across outages.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5–7 years experience in I&C maintenance.
• Meets station procedural requirements.
• Exhibits professional leadership and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and supervise I&C maintenance personnel.
• Plan and coordinate preventive, predictive, corrective, and outage-related I&C maintenance activities.
• Assign work based on qualifications, workload, priorities, and safety requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with procedures, environmental requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Conduct pre-job briefings, hazard assessments, and job-site observations; stop work when unsafe.
• Review work orders, develop job plans, identify labor, materials, tools, and permits; coordinate with Operations.
• Troubleshoot and direct repairs of I&C systems and equipment, including motors and relays.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, contractors, and other maintenance disciplines.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of work; ensure proper documentation and closeout.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, maintenance strategies, and productivity.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning for labor, materials, and major outages.
• Develop, coach, and evaluate employees; ensure training and qualifications.
• Manage contractor activities with safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Participate in emergency response and supervision during outages.
• Communicate status, risks, and needs clearly to management and stakeholders.
• Promote accountability, continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence.
