Job summary

NextEra Energy Duane Arnold, LLC is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls engineer to join the restart of the Duane Arnold Energy Center in Palo, IA. You will contribute to plant restoration, recommissioning, and operational readiness by shaping instrumentation and control system decisions and cyber‑security considerations.

In this long‑term role you will lead cross‑functional teams, advise leadership, and coordinate with disciplines to ensure regulatory compliance and readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 7+ years of experience.
• Nuclear experience: 0+ years.

Responsibilities

• Works independently to perform engineering tasks with little or no precedence
• Provides technical consultation to management
• Applies nuclear industry standards and regulations to solve new problems and address situations
• Manages project teams toward solutions using leadership prowess, problem solving, and conflict resolution techniques
• Represents supervisor interests and serves in a backup capacity when necessary
• Serves as technical liaison within and outside business unit
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
