Job summary

Framatome North America seeks a US Fuel Reliability Manager to lead engineers and scientists responsible for resolving fuel reliability issues, investigating fuel failures, and evaluating water chemistry and crud on fuel rod performance. This role interfaces with internal stakeholders and represents Framatome to utility customers, EPRI, INPO, and NRC.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of staff, management and customers.
• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective performance on moderately complex to complex engineering assignments.
• Plan and direct the timely execution of engineering activities within assigned cost center(s).
• Ensure projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
• Develop and/or administer organization engineering standards and procedures for the group.
• Provide goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
• Ensure development and training of team members to optimize task results.
• Work interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
• Research and assess best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
• Work on special projects, as directed
