Job summary

Framatome seeks a US Fuel Reliability Manager in Richland, WA. You will lead engineers and scientists addressing fuel reliability issues, including fuel failure investigations and water chemistry evaluation, guiding the PIE program and collaborating with international colleagues.

You will interface with internal stakeholders such as Fuel Design and Manufacturing Quality, and represent Framatome to utilities, EPRI, INPO, and NRC on fuel performance topics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, techniques and criteria.

What You'll Do Day-To-Day

Responsibilities include moderately complex to complex engineering work and leadership of projects within designated cost centers. Specific duties include:

• Plan and direct the timely execution of engineering activities within assigned cost center(s).
• Ensure projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
• Develop and/or administer engineering standards and procedures for the group.
• Provide goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
• Ensure development and training of team members to optimize task results.
• Work interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
• Research and assess best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
• Contribute to special projects as directed.

As the US Fuel Reliability Manager, you will lead engineers and scientists responsible for resolving fuel reliability issues, including investigation of fuel failures and evaluation of water chemistry and crud on fuel rod performance. This group administers Framatome's PIE program and collaborates with international colleagues to address fuel performance concerns. You will interface with internal stakeholders such as Fuel Design, Manufacturing Quality, Fuel Field Services, Contracts & Services, and Product Strategy to help achieve failure-free operation. Externally, you will represent Framatome to utility customers, EPRI, INPO, and the NRC regarding fuel performance and related projects. Experience within the US nuclear industry is strongly desired.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related fields; depending on position, Physics, Engineering Technology or Engineering Science may also be accepted).
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers.
• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team.
• Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.

Total Rewards Package

• Salary: $146,000 - $199,000, with potential annual incentives and performance bonuses. Base salary is a guideline; total compensation varies by qualifications, location and other factors.
