Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer license with 4+ years Fire Protection experience acceptable in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

  • Provide code and program expertise; ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare for NRC/INPO pre-operational inspections.
  • Monitor testing and performance of fire protection detection and suppression systems.
  • Review design/field changes for accuracy and testing impact.
  • Develop and improve preventive maintenance tasks based on corrective actions and operating experience.
  • Support surveillance testing, fire protection pre plans, and impairment monitoring processes.
  • Provide training and reference materials to station personnel; participate in fire drills and emergency exercises.
  • Respond to industry operating experience.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering (or Engineering degree)
Professional Engineer license
