Job summary

Westinghouse is seeking a Field Engineer Major Equipment for the LEU+ project at the Hopkins, SC site. The role reports to the LEU+ Construction Manager and collaborates with EPC Contractors, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Maintenance teams to ensure major equipment construction, installation, and commissioning align with approved engineering plans.

The candidate will oversee field activities, interpret drawings, lead interfaces, maintain safety standards, and produce progress reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 7+ years discipline related Engineering experience, preferably in nuclear industry.
• 3+ years technical project execution and/or field installation experience, preferably in nuclear industry.
• Experience in engineering, procurement and operations environment, preferably nuclear.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, procedures and processes.

Responsibilities

• Represent LEU+ Engineering in the field for major equipment construction/installations.
• Oversee major equipment construction/installation progress; interpret drawings and coordinate with team.
• Maintain oversight during building, installation, commissioning and turnover to operations.
• Prepare and submit progress, issues and discipline reports.
• Review and approve subcontractor work plans for assigned discipline.
• Participate in design reviews and in lessons learned activities to drive improvements.
