Job summary

TerraPower in Bellevue, WA, is seeking a Field Engineering Manager to lead field engineering for the Natrium advanced reactor project at the Kemmerer, Wyoming site. You will oversee on-site engineering teams, coordinate with construction, design, and regulatory groups, and ensure adherence to design basis and quality standards.

Responsibilities include staffing, field oversight, documentation control, and close collaboration with regulators and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline from an ABET accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in field engineering, construction engineering, or construction support on power generation, nuclear, or large industrial projects
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and isometrics.
• Experience with nuclear quality requirements (NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination and oversight of a diverse multidisciplinary Field Engineers.
• Develop staffing plans based on project inputs and forecasts; identify staffing needs and adjustments.
• Oversee field engineering activities in construction, testing, startup, commissioning, and turnover to operations.
