TerraPower seeks a Site Design Engineering Civil Engineer for the Natrium Demonstration Project near Kemmerer, WY. You will lead civil/structural design follow-through, coordinate with construction, licensing, and regulators to ensure design conformance and safety.

The role requires 4+ years in civil design with nuclear exposure, strong leadership, and the ability to obtain site access. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution (PE preferred).
• 4+ years of civil/structural design, construction support, or field engineering experience.
• Experience interfacing with construction, procurement, QA, licensing, and regulatory entities.
• Knowledge of nuclear design and licensing basis requirements and related standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain site access and required security clearances.
• Familiarity with nuclear codes such as NQA-1, ASME III/VIII, B31.1/B31.3, IEEE 603.

Responsibilities

• Perform design follow and oversight of civil/structural activities in support of construction, testing, startup and turnover.
• Interface with on-site stakeholders to resolve technical issues while maintaining schedule and safety.
• Disposition design changes and nonconformances for TerraPower Natrium project.
• Prioritize and resolve conflicts across engineering tasks with leadership escalation as needed.
