Job summary

Tech-Army-a4b97c9 seeks a Technical Project Manager (TPM) 2 to oversee discrete technical construction scope, ensuring timely completion, delivering budgets, schedules, and risk management, and guiding planning, tracking, and turnover in a DOE/NNSA setting.

The TPM 2 reports to the Manager of Projects and will implement policies for construction and work execution within a Nuclear Hazard Category 2 facility, while supporting budget development and providing technical guidance to matrixed teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in nuclear facilities or laboratories with security/classification protocols.
• Familiarity with D&D activities and NQA-1 requirements.
• Experience managing scopes, budgets, schedules and risks in DOE/NNSA projects.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage discrete technical construction scope to ensure timely completion of project elements.
• Oversee technical requirements and manage project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risks.
• Support and, when necessary, lead project teams through planning, tracking, execution, and project turnover.
• Manage project activities in accordance with prime contract requirements, NNSA requirements, and DOE Order 413.3B.
• Organize work into control accounts and work packages to achieve program objectives.
• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational management of assigned projects or program areas.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures, and standards related to construction and work execution.
• Support program budget development and monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams, support organizations, and matrixed resources.
• Coordinate activities within DOE Hazard Category 2, Security Classification 1 facilities while maintaining compliance with nuclear quality, security, and safety requirements.
