Job summary

Consolidated Nuclear Security in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a Shift Manager (Senior Specialist) to oversee planning, scheduling and authorization of operations in the facility to ensure safe, compliant production. This role requires depth in nuclear facility operations and adherence to safety standards.

You will manage daily POD, verify procedures, perform inspections, authorize changes, and provide weekend on-call coverage as part of a rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree: minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree: minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• PhD: minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Fifteen or more years of education, training, and/or experience may satisfy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and authorization of operation activities in the assigned manufacturing facility through the Plan of the Day (POD).
• Ensure operations are conducted per procedures, regulations and safety requirements.
• Review shift rounds, status board and logs; observe equipment and housekeeping status.
• Maintain configuration and authorize status changes to major equipment and systems, communicating changes to supervisors.
• Provide on-call coverage for assigned weekends as part of a rotation.

Education

Bachelor's degree: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

OR Master's degree: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.

OR PhD: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Fifteen (15) or more years of relevant education, training, and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
