Job summary

Aalo Atomics is seeking a Nuclear Export Compliance Manager to lead the company’s export controls program under 10 C.F.R. Part 810 and related U.S. trade controls. This senior role reports to the General Counsel and builds policies, training, and controls across U.S. sites.

You will own disclosures of Export Controlled Information (ECI), keep information secure, and ensure proper authorization for personnel access and external disclosures as the company scales its reactor technology.

Qualifications

• Experience with U.S. nuclear export controls under 10 C.F.R. Part 810.
• Experience building export-compliance programs from the ground up.
• Ability to pause or suspend disclosures or access when warranted.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Procurement, IT, Legal.
• Regulatory reporting and disclosures experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the accountable decision-maker for Part 810 matters company-wide.
• Approve, pause, or suspend disclosures of ECI and access pending review.
• Establish document-marking standards and release-approval workflows.
• Coordinate reporting to DOE/NNSA and capture required information.
• Design and run export-control training for employees and contractors.
• Oversee visitor/site-security program and Foreign National screening.
• Manage international travel approvals involving ECI and devices.
• Implement public-release procedures with legal counsel approval.
• Oversee OFAC screening and procurement-related export controls.
