Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory (FMP) seeks a Nuclear Equipment & Process Engineer to support handling, examination, and maintenance of spent naval nuclear fuel. You’ll work within the Naval Reactors Facility, contributing to critical national work and growing professionally in a multi-disciplined team.

The role is within the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, a prime government contractor for the Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program, focusing on equipment, processes, and procedures for managing spent fuel now and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering or science field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or Master's with 1+ year.
  • Alternatively, currently an Intermediate Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or RPCO Engineer at the Company.
  • Preferred: degrees in electrical, mechanical, or nuclear engineering.
  • Preferred: GPA 3.2 or higher and strong technical writing skills.
