Job summary

American Electric Power Co. Bridgman, MI seeks a Nuclear Engineer at Associate to Principal level to own the Safety and Relief Valve Program within Engineering Programs.

You will manage component programs, monitor performance, and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to maintain compliance with nuclear codes and safety regulations. The role requires ABET-accredited engineering credentials, PE readiness, and strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or equivalent.
• PE licensure encouraged/preferred; FE exam preparation supported.

Responsibilities

• Lead ownership of Safety and Relief Valve Program within Engineering Programs.
• Manage component program health, field walkdowns, trending, and maintenance strategies.
• Ensure compliance with NRC, ANSI/ASME standards; support incident investigations and design modifications.
