Job summary

Valcor Engineering Corporation in Springfield, NJ, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead nuclear valve design and development. The role requires planning, directing, and coordinating engineering functions to meet manufacturing and customer requirements.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in fluid flow component design, including valve design in nuclear industry, and strong knowledge of ASME codes. This position includes comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Five years’ design experience of fluid flow components including minimum three years of valve design in nuclear industry.
• Knowledge of ASME Section III Codes, ASME/ASTM materials for valves in Nuclear Industry; awareness of military standards.
• Familiar with ANSI B16.34, B31-1, and B31.3 valve design standards; geometric tolerancing per ANSI Y14.5M.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications and select valve models or design new valves.
• Prepare and release drawings, BOMs, test procedures, and documentation for production.
• Produce operability calculations to ensure compliance with specifications and seismic/pressure effects.
• Provide technical support to purchasing, production, and other departments during procurement and manufacturing.
