Job summary

Kairos Power invites energetic students to join our Nuclear Engineering team for Summer 2027. This internship offers hands-on work on reactor safety analysis, analytical tools, and computational modeling in support of Hermes Reactor and future fleet development.

Interns collaborate with experienced engineers on projects across reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, materials, and licensing. You will contribute to meaningful technical work while learning state-of-the-art nuclear engineering

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a relevant engineering degree (Bachelor/Master/PhD).
• Demonstrated lab/research or internship experience preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering analysis or computational modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and validation of analytical tools and computational models for reactor safety analyses.
• Perform engineering analyses and simulations in focus areas such as reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, or CFD.
• Assist with research projects aimed at improving reactor safety, performance, and commercialization.
• Document results, prepare technical reports and presentations, and support knowledge transfer.
