Entergy Nuclear Operations is seeking a Student Intern to support the Engineering, Major Projects team onsite at River Bend Station in St. Francisville, LA.

You will assist design engineers, prepare materials for meetings, and participate in everyday project activities at the nuclear site. The role requires enrollment in Mechanical, Civil, or Nuclear Engineering with a minimum 2.8 GPA and basic computer skills; candidates may travel up to 25% as needed and must meet access and fitness-for-duty

Qualifications

• Candidates must be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree program in Mechanical, Civil, or Nuclear Engineering from a four‑year institution.
• Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree program (full‑time or part‑time), pursuing the relevant field.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, verified through an official transcript from the previous semester.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day activities in the Engineering, Major Projects department.
• Prepare materials for department meetings, calls, and presentations.
• Work with design engineers and management on various projects.
• Develop elements of design change packages with supervisory oversight.
• Perform engineering calculations within established standards and procedures.
• Investigate corrective actions for operating problems.
• Perform calculations on plant capability and efficiency improvement.
