Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Nuclear Engineering Intern to support design calculations, core design, fuel management, and plant operations at our Cranberry, Warrendale, Blairsville, or New Stanton facilities in Pennsylvania. This paid full-time role runs May through August 2027, with hybrid or onsite arrangements.

You will report to the department manager and gain hands-on experience applying nuclear engineering principles to commercial projects, participating in training,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering
• Completed Sophomore year of college
• Interest in reactor physics, nuclear systems, or fuel design

Responsibilities

• Help with nuclear design calculations and analyses
• Support reactor core design and fuel management activities
• Analyze engineering data and simulation results
• Participate in nuclear engineering training and seminars
• Support technical report development
• Assist engineering teams with design solutions
• Contribute to project planning and execution efforts

Education

Bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering (pursuing)

Sophomore year completed

Interest in reactor physics, nuclear systems, or fuel design
