Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is offering a Nuclear Engineering Intern position at our Cranberry Township-based facilities. The role provides hands-on experience in nuclear reactor systems, core design, fuel management, and plant operations, reporting to the department manager.

This paid, full-time internship is hybrid or onsite for the summer of 2027, May through August. Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in nuclear engineering and have completed sophomore year, with interest in reactor physics

About The Role

As a Nuclear Engineering Intern, you will support engineering activities related to nuclear reactor systems, core design, fuel management, and plant operations. You will gain hands-on experience applying nuclear engineering principles to commercial nuclear projects.

You will report to the department manager and be located at our Cranberry, Warrendale, Blairsville, or New Stanton, PA facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid or onsite position for the summer, May - August 2027.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour.
