Job summary

ITResource Hunter in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Nuclear Engineer to lead design and analysis for our microreactor program. You will own nuclear engineering initiatives, including shielding, neutronics, accident dose, and transient analysis, collaborating with a fast-paced startup team.

The role requires a BS in nuclear engineering, 1–2+ years of industry experience, and hands-on coding with MCNP/OpenMC/Serpent or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering or equivalent.
• 1-2+ years of nuclear engineering industry experience.
• Experience with radiation transport methods, including MCNP/OpenMC/Serpent.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, C#, FORTRAN or similar.
• Basic knowledge of thermal hydraulic principles.
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of Nuclear design and analysis, including shielding, neutronics, accident doseconsequence, and transient analysis.
• Collect requirements and provide feedback to engineers in other areas.
• Other nuclear design and analysis duties as assigned.
