Brooksource is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for nuclear applications in Charlotte, NC. The role is hybrid (2 days on-site) with a multi-year contract through 2029.

Candidates should bring advanced system design expertise, strong judgment, and the ability to deliver high-quality work with limited supervision. The position focuses on risk-informed tools and processes to improve nuclear safety, regulatory compliance, and operational decision-making.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of nuclear plant or corporate experience.
• Experience in the utility industry, site/station engineering/operations.
• Familiarity with BWR or PWR plant systems.
• Ability to research, evaluate options, and present recommendations.
• SRO/RO certificate or equivalent is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop bases and documentation for risk-informed nuclear safety programs.
• Review products and provide reference documentation with site resources.
• Resolve system design and operational questions arising from projects.
• Provide engineering expertise to analyze complex issues and advise stakeholders.
• Plan work with estimates, scheduling, and status reporting across multiple streams.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance nuclear safety and regulatory compliance.
• Support on-site activities at nuclear stations as needed; attend meetings and badge
• Build strong working relationships with engineering, operations, and licensing teams.
