Job summary

The Nuclear Company in Washington, DC seeks a Project Manager, Development to own the integrated execution of nuclear development projects through Front-End Loading, ensuring scope, schedule and cost control across land, licensing, permitting, interconnection, engineering, environmental, cost, finance, legal, and commercial streams.

You will drive stage-gate readiness and deliver complete, defendable packages for governance reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field.
• 8+ years of project management on large capital projects, including 3+ years in FEL/FEED environments.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams within stage-gate governance and strong CPM scheduling knowledge.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project and advanced Excel.
• Excellent executive-level written communication.

Responsibilities

• Own integrated schedule and deliverables for FEL phase, including milestone tracking and critical path.
• Maintain core PM documents: PEP, Project Charter, stage-gate checklists, and delegation of authority.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across land, licensing, permitting, interconnection, engineering, cost, finance, legal, and commercial.
• Manage risk and fatal-flaw registers, drive mitigations, and escalate threats to stage-gate criteria.
• Prepare stage-gate packages and present to governance boards; monitor cost performance against budgets.
