Job summary

The Nuclear Company in the United States is seeking a Project Manager, Development to own the integrated execution of FEL-stage nuclear development projects. You will ensure scope, schedule, cost, and risk are managed across multiple development workstreams and serve as the single point of accountability to the project sponsor.

You will coordinate a broad matrixed team spanning land, licensing, permitting, interconnection, engineering, environmental, cost, finance, legal, and commercial

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of project management experience on large capital projects, including 3+ years in FEL/FEED environments.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams within stage-gate governance.
  • Knowledge of CPM scheduling, cost estimate classification (AACE), risk management, and change control.
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or MS Project) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Integrated project schedule and deliverable ownership for the FEL phase, tracking milestones and critical path.
  • Core project management documents: Project Execution Plan, Project Charter, stage-gate checklists, delegation of authority, variance management, weekly summaries.
  • Cross-functional integration of land, licensing, permitting, interconnection, engineering, environmental, cost, finance, legal, and commercial workstreams.
  • Maintain the project risk register, drive mitigations to closure, escalate threats to stage-gate criteria.
  • Stage-gate preparation and governance: deliverable reviews, gate package assembly, and governance presentations.
  • Cost performance management against budgets, coordinating estimates, escalation, contingency, and funding tranche requests.
  • Scenario and strategy analysis to inform executive decisions.
