BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) is seeking a Computer Vision / Machine Learning R&D Engineer for the Advanced Technologies group in Lynchburg, VA. The role focuses on applying machine vision, analytics, and ML to improve manufacturing processes for space, power, and propulsion applications.

You will develop ML models, integrate them with vision systems, and collaborate with engineers to deploy scalable solutions. Domestic and international travel up to 40% is required; U.S.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/ mechanical engineering, physics, CS, data science, or related field.
• Experience with computer vision and machine learning, including deep generative models (GANs, VAEs, diffusion models).
• Knowledge of signal processing and its application.
• Willing to travel 30–40% domestically and internationally; US citizen; ability to obtain security clearance.
