Job summary

Southern Ohio Cleanup Company LLC seeks a Nuclear Criticality Safety professional to support and oversee safe handling of fissile/fissionable materials. You will review procedures, assess facilities, and assist management in maintaining compliance with safety standards.

The role requires applying NCS controls, conducting training support, and participating in safety groups to prevent incidents. Internal candidates may be preferred, with formal credentials as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) concepts and related regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret procedures, drawings and documentation for safe operations.
• Experience supporting management in implementing safety controls.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate nuclear operation procedures, drawings and documentation for compliance and safe operation.
• Perform evaluations of facilities and materials to ensure safe handling and storage of fissile material.
• Conduct and document reviews of fissile material operations to verify safety controls are understood and applied.
• Provide consultation to operations management on NCS issues and procedures.
• Develop or update NCS procedures or training materials; assist with delivery and training.
• Actively participate in Safety Work Groups and promote a safe work environment.
