Zusammenfassung

Aalo Atomics is seeking a Nuclear Craft Supervisor to lead field personnel at our Idaho facilities, overseeing maintenance, installation, modifications, and commissioning work. You will mentor crews, enforce safety standards, and build the craft capability for upcoming projects.

You will coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Planning, and Quality, ensuring compliance with procedures and permits, and maintain thorough turnover records for equipment readiness.

Qualifikationen

• Seven years of craft maintenance or technical field experience, including at least three years in a nuclear environment and two years as a supervisor or lead.
• Experience at a commercial nuclear plant, DOE facility, naval nuclear program, or comparable nuclear installation.
• Strong practical knowledge in at least one craft discipline—mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation & controls—and coordinating work across disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience executing controlled work packages, pre-job briefings, prerequisites, and maintaining complete work records.
• Working knowledge of nuclear maintenance practices, energy isolation, configuration control, quality inspections, and equipment turnover.
• Ability to read drawings and procedures, identify field discrepancies, and obtain technical resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain standards under schedule pressure, communicate directly, and mentor less-experienced personnel.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant apprenticeship, military technical training, trade qualification, or equivalent practical experience. A four-year degree is not required.

Aufgaben

• Direct assigned craft employees and coordinate contractor work.
• Review work packages with planner and craft personnel; verify scope, materials, and tools.
• Conduct pre-job briefings covering sequence, responsibilities, hazards, contingencies, and stop-work conditions.
• Verify operations authorization, equipment status, isolations, permits before starting work.
• Observe field work; enforce procedures, correct tool use, and independent verification where required.
• Stop work if conditions differ from the package; coordinate resolutions before resuming.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Planning, Quality, Radiological Controls, and safety.
• Maintain accurate work records and shift handoffs; report status and issues.
• Ensure testing and inspections are completed; provide turnover records to Operations.
• Coach craft personnel, assess performance, identify qualification gaps, and support ongoing improvements.
