Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is recruiting a Construction Engineer to join the Equipment Installation Team at Hinkley Point C near Bridgwater, Somerset. In this on-site role, you will support mechanical equipment installation activities, help coordinate work packs and ensure documentation aligns with project requirements.

You’ll work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors and client representatives to keep the programme on track while upholding health, safety

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, coordinating mechanical installation activities.
• Ability to maintain installation documentation aligned with project requirements.
• Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and project teams.
• Strong health, safety and CDM leadership.
• Experience in regulated industries such as nuclear/oil and gas.
• Experience supervising or coordinating construction activities is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and execution of mechanical equipment installation at HPC site.
• Manage construction work packs and ensure installation documentation is reviewed and maintained.
• Monitor installation progress, identify blockers and drive actions to meet schedules.
• Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, client representatives and contractors to resolve challenges.
• Provide strong health, safety and environmental leadership and ensure compliance with site licence conditions.
