Job summary

Atlas seeks a Construction Materials Testing Field & Lab Tech Technician - Nuclear for a 2-3 year remote field assignment supporting the Natrium advanced nuclear reactor project. Pre-deployment training in Idaho Falls, ID for 3 months; per diem provided. Onsite role in Kemmerer, WY with field and lab duties and periodic travel to sites.

The role combines field tests of concrete, soils, aggregates, and asphalt with lab tests and accreditation upkeep. Safety and compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to travel within the reporting office area.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Experience in construction materials testing is a plus.
• Pursuit of relevant certifications such as ACI/APNGA is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform field quality control tests on concrete, masonry, soils, aggregates, and asphalt.
• Conduct field density testing on soil and asphalt.
• Obtain and maintain required lab certifications per project specs and standards.
• Manage and conduct lab testing of CMT materials.
• Travel to multiple sites with possible overnight or weekend work.
• Relay information to project manager/engineer and document findings.
• Transport equipment and samples to field or lab locations and assist other staff.
• Enter daily field and lab observation reports electronically.
• Follow Atlas safety policies and cultivate a safe work environment.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specs.
