Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Civil Structural Engineering Manager to lead the civil/structural design team supporting nuclear projects. The role is based in Glendale, AZ, with responsibilities spanning design approval, client relations, and staff development.

You will mentor engineers, ensure quality, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with PMs on proposals. Travel up to 10% and PE licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years in design engineering in power generation, nuclear power, or heavy industrial.
• PE license and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the unit, assign work, approve timesheets, and support recruitment.
• Maintain quality standards and certify design documents as required by codes.
• Interact with Project Managers to meet budget and schedule for projects; lead proposal preparation.
• Provide performance feedback and develop staff; mentor engineers.
• Support administrative functions and staffing planning.
