Job summary

HoltecInt. is seeking a Chemistry Specialist to maintain control over core functions within the chemistry domain, including radiochemistry exposure at a nuclear plant.

On-site role in Covert, MI with responsibilities spanning procedure development, regulatory compliance, and cross-group coordination. The candidate will engage in process improvements, reporting, and liaison activities, while potentially serving in emergency and hazard response contexts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
• 0-2 years commercial or military nuclear experience.
• At least 5 years experience in chemistry, including one year in radiochemistry at an operating nuclear power plant.
• Technical proficiency in the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Propose time saving improvements and work methods; support equipment repair/replacement in area of expertise.
• Develop and revise procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements; liaise between work groups to improve communications.
• Coordinate with peers at other stations to promote standardization or improvements; may serve as Contract Manager.
• Review/generate reports in area of expertise and review documents from department and contractors.
• Interface with regulatory and industry representatives; communicate technical information verbally and in writing.
• May serve on HazMat Team or Emergency Response Organization.
• Represent Chemistry and interact with site projects and outage teams.
