Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a skilled CAD Technician/Nuclear Drafter to develop plant drawings and document control for a 6–12 month W-2 contract onsite in Palo, IA. You will create as-built drawings from field markups using MicroStation, incorporate approved changes, and support QA and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 11+ years of drafting in regulated environments, strong MicroStation (2D) skills, and knowledge of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and NQA-1.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of drafting experience in an engineering or design environment.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and drawings.
• Experience with nuclear QA and regulatory requirements (10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1).

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain plant drawings in MicroStation (P&IDs, schematics, isometrics).
• Prepare as-built drawings from field markups and work packages.
• Incorporate approved engineering changes accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering and station personnel to resolve discrepancies.
• Follow site safety, security, and radiological protection requirements.
