Job summary

Nucor Towers & Structures Inc in Crawfordsville, IN seeks a Production Supervisor to lead safety, quality, cost and productivity objectives while supporting our leadership team at NTS Crawfordsville.

You will coach and develop teammates, oversee training, drive continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to safety policies and housekeeping standards across departments under the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, quality, cost, productivity and profitability objectives for the division.
• Be an active member of the Crawfordsville leadership team and oversee teammate development and training.
• Communicate information across departments regarding safety, quality and production.
• Report to the NTS Crawfordsville Operations Manager and uphold safety policies and housekeeping standards.

Basic Job Functions

The Production Supervisor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking care of our customers by executing the division’s safety, quality, cost, productivity and profitability objectives.

The responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include but are not limited to: being a positive member of the leadership team at NTS Crawfordsville, being an active participant developing teammates within our culture as well as overseeing training.

This position is also responsible for communicating information across departments and teammates as it relates to safety, quality and production.

This position reports to the NTSIN Operations Manager.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Must have at least 2 years Nucor leadership experience
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
• Commitment to safety, actively involved in their division’s safety initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Greenfield environment
• Experience working in Operations
• Experience writing/reviewing procedures and training manuals
• Computer knowledge/skills
