Job summary

Indian Prairie School District 204 is seeking a qualified individual to support the National School Lunch Program and district transportation services. You will establish NSLP procedures, maintain records, schedule site reviews, and process applications while ensuring compliance with ISBE guidelines.

The role also handles reimbursement claims, budget oversight, vendor audits, and training of lunchroom staff. Travel between schools is required; this is an on-site, district-office position.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Solid and diverse technical or support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish procedures for the effective management of the NSLP.
• Develop, maintain, and submit accurate records and reports in compliance with the NSLP.
• Schedule and oversee site reviews to ensure federal/state regulatory guidelines are met, and complete the verification process and ISBE submissions for NSLP annually.
• Process and maintain all NSLP applications and ensure Push Coin records follow NSLP regulations.
• Serve as primary contact for schools on lunch order exceptions, including field trips, daily meal accommodations, and all out-of-district NSLP meals.
• Manage grant expenditures and NSLP budget annually; monitor vendors and audit invoices for cost compliance.
• Coordinate training of lunchroom supervisors and ensure NSLP compliance in nutrition, distribution and accounting of meals.
• Review, ensure accuracy, and submit monthly NSLP reimbursement claims with ISBE.
• Oversee activity bus permits and driver files; coordinate bus maintenance and cleaning.
