The Galv Line Mechanical Technician at Nucor supports Galv Line 2 operations with a focus on Safety, Quality, Reliability, Costs and Continuous Improvement in a demanding steel plant environment.

You will troubleshoot, install and upgrade equipment and perform predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance with rotating shifts, overtime, nights, weekends and holidays, all while upholding Nucor's safety standards.

• Technical Degree
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulics

The primary role of the Galv Line Mechanical Technician is to be part of a team supporting Galv Line 2 operations with a focus on Safety, Quality, Reliability, Costs, and Continuous Improvement. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting, equipment installation and upgrade, and performing various types of maintenance activities (predictive, preventative, corrective, etc.) in a demanding work environment. Ability to work rotating shift, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
