Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear QA framework. You will plan the annual schedule, lead audits with a team, write reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

Independence from the work audited is essential for licensee assessments. Responsibilities include managing internal and supplier audits, supervising specialists, evaluating safety-related suppliers, and maintaining qualification records.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on audits to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Experience auditing licensee, EPC, or supplier quality organizations; strong knowledge of nuclear QA program.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program, including internal and supplier audits.
• Lead end-to-end audits: notification, checklist, entrance meetings, evidence collection, findings, and reporting.
• Supervise auditors and technical specialists on the audit team.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services; recommend approvals or removals.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records; support NRC-style audits.
• Classify findings, issue corrective-action requests, verify closure with objective evidence.
• Ensure independence from audited work and provide reports that NRC inspectors can follow.
