Job summary

Grand Portage National Monument is seeking an NPS AFA Assistant - FMSS Data Clerk to provide administrative and budgetary support to the Facility Manager/AFA Program Administrator. Training will be provided by the supervisor. Required is a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience; travel for training opportunities may be needed.

The Annual Funding Agreement (AFA) is an agreement between the National Park Service (NPS) and the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. The purpose of the AFA is to establish the terms and conditions under which the NPS will fund, and the Band will perform programs, services, functions, and activities, or portions thereof (Activities), at or for the Grand Portage National Monument (GRPO) and Isle Royale National Park (ISRO), park areas under the jurisdiction of the NPS within and near the exterior borders of the Grand Portage Reservation.

Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
