Job summary

Zipline in South San Francisco, CA is seeking an NPI Technical Program Manager to own launch readiness and lifecycle execution for new aircraft and hardware changes. You will work across Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Reliability, Field Engineering, Maintenance, and Fleet Operations to ensure readiness, reliability and continuity of supply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 3+ years of NPI, TPM, hardware development, manufacturing operations, or product lifecycle work launching complex electromechanical or aerospace systems.
• Experience owning NPI launches from prototype to scaled production with measurable reliability and ramp outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Single-thread ownership of NPI launch readiness from early builds through rollout and ramp.
• Define and hold release-readiness gate criteria and make go/no-go launch decisions to leadership.
• Create and maintain integrated launch plans linking milestones, validation, build schedules and supplier readiness.
• Track schedule, cost, quality and risk metrics with clear escalation paths.
• Evaluate engineering changes for downstream impact and recommend course of action.
• Maintain issue-tracking for builds and drives cross-functional resolution to closure.
