Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a qualified engineer to manage supplier qualification for coating, drilling, and assembly of gas turbine components. You will ensure quality, deadlines, and cost targets while coordinating with internal teams on design and manufacturing interfaces.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of technical experience in thermal spraying processes (LPPS, LVPS, APS, HVOF).
  • Knowledge of drilling processes (laser and FHEDM), welding (laser and WIG), brazing, and supplier management.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Background in cross-functional teams working on turbine hot gas parts.
  • Strong intercultural competence with travel ~25%.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier qualification for coating, drilling, and assembly of gas turbine components.
  • Provide technical support to suppliers and act as interface between design/engineering and manufacturing.
  • Analyze data to identify improvements and initiate supplier enhancements.
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects with milestone tracking and risk mitigation.
  • Drive cost and delivery improvements with coating suppliers and assess manufacturing risks.
  • Contribute to technology roadmap and feasibility studies for new designs and coating systems.
