Job summary

OmniOn Power in Plano, TX is seeking a Sourcing NPI Lead to drive strategic sourcing, quoting, and purchasing execution for the R&D organization, supporting the Fiber Infrastructure BU and new product introductions.

The role links R&D engineering with the global supplier base, manages BOM cost analytics, supplier interfaces, and the transition of material control to manufacturing, ensuring on-time technology launches and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in component sourcing, material management, and technical procurement.
• 3+ years of hands-on ERP software experience.

Responsibilities

• RFQ Execution: Lead the RFQ process for custom parts, components, and prototype tooling to secure optimal costing.
• Supplier Interface: Serve as primary contact for external suppliers on design orders and prototype iterations.
• Data & Order Management: Maintain purchasing system integrity, place POs, and track material receipts to align with project schedules.
• BOM Cost Analytics: Perform BOM cost analyses, track MOC metrics, identify shortages.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Project Managers, Technical Managers, and Hardware Engineers to meet program timelines.
• Manufacturing Hand-off: Procure long-lead parts for initial factory release and manage FAI and material transfer at NPIs end.
