Job summary
Hitachi Energy in Mount Pleasant, PA is seeking an experienced R&D Quality Engineer to ensure quality across NPI and enhancements to the active product portfolio. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering (or related field).
- Experience in electro-mechanical industry, preferably high-voltage equipment for substations.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and APQP/Stage-Gate.
- Experience with FMEA, DFM/DFA, PPAP, RCA, and core quality tools.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality execution across NPI projects from concept to release.
- Define CTQs and embed quality objectives in project plans.
- Facilitate DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM/ DFA and reliability assessments.
- Coordinate ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 audits and CAPA actions.
- Lead RCA and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor quality performance and drive process improvements.
