Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Nashua, NH is seeking a proactive NPI Quality Engineer to champion quality from concept to mass production. You will interface with Nashua site teams and global locations to ensure robust designs, proper documentation, and zero-defect launches.

The role requires 4–8 years in quality engineering, strong APQP/PPAP knowledge, and experience with DFMEA/PFMEA, DV/PV, and 8D problem solving. Domestic/international travel up to 15–25% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master's preferred.
• 4–8 years quality engineering in manufacturing.
• 3+ years direct NPI quality experience.
• Strong APQP/PPAP/FMEA/Control Plans/MSA/SPC/GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with 8D, DMAIC, A3 problem-solving.
• Proficient in Minitab/JMP; GD&T ASME Y14.5 knowledge.
• Familiar with QMS, document control; PLM/ERP/MES tools.
• SolidWorks CAD experience; MS Office proficiency.
• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred; CQE/CRE preferred.
• Experience in regulated industries (A&D, automotive, medical).

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI quality planning, DFMEA/PFMEA, DV/PV plans, and tests.
• Lead FAI submissions with customers and internal teams.
• Support supplier qualification, audits, and PPAP reviews.
• Collaborate on Cp/Cpk, Gage R&R, and production qualification.
• Drive risk management and root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why).
• Lead corrective actions and Lessons Learned across programs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF/AS9100/FDA where applicable.
• Represent quality in cross-functional reviews and gate meetings.
• Travel domestically/internationally up to 15–25%.
