Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Nashua, NH is seeking a Project Engineer to lead NPI efforts from concept through mass production, coordinating cross-functional teams across Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure successful product deployment across global sites.

You will develop and maintain detailed project plans, identify risks, and communicate status to leadership while supporting production and process implementation at global manufacturing sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in an Engineering or in a Project Management role in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of solid modeling tools (Creo, SolidWorks, etc.) to effectively communicate with design teams.
• Strong knowledge of MS Suite of products (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, cross-functional leadership, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with PCBA SMT and/or soldering preferred.
• Experience in the design and assembly of telecommunication cable assemblies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI project management activities for new High-Speed I/O cable assembly from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
• Lead cross-functional NPI teams (Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain) to drive milestones from concept through mass production, ensuring successful product deployment across global manufacturing sites.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking progress and driving accountability across stakeholders. Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and communicate status to stakeholders and leadership.
• Lead cross-functional NPI teams (including Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain) to drive product deployment from initial concept through global transitions to new and existing manufacturing sites.
• Collaborate directly with global manufacturing sites to support production and process implementation.
• Manage internal and external suppliers for on time completion of actions
• Facilitate the validation and smooth transition of new products across global manufacturing sites (USA, China, Mexico, Vietnam).
• Manage and coordinate engineering build events, facilitate technical reviews, and track critical program milestones.
• Oversee project risk management, including participating in DFMEA/PFMEA reviews, identifying potential project risks, and driving mitigation actions.
• Manage & reduce risks including the development of alternatives using risk reduction tools in order to maintain project objectives and schedules.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-15%
