Job summary

Advantech USA in Tustin, CA, seeks an NPI Project Engineer to lead new product introductions for embedded and Edge AI industrial systems. You will bridge design engineering and mass production, coordinating prototypes, testing, and documentation to ensure smooth product launches.

The role requires hands-on mechanical/electrical skills, strong project coordination, and effective communication with customers, sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related).
• 5+ years hands-on experience in NPI, manufacturing engineering, or hardware product development.
• Ability to manage timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional activities.
• Independently prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI activities for industrial computer systems from design to production.
• Coordinate system integration, validation, and testing across teams.
• Develop SOPs, assembly instructions, and test processes.
• Manage project timelines, dependencies, and communications.
• Support product certifications and ISO 9001 processes.
• Maintain build documentation and support cross‑functional launches.
