Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking an NPI Manager II to plan, lead, and manage complex product development projects from inception to realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business required; Master's degree preferred.
• 3–6 years of product development, engineering, manufacturing or related experience.
• Must be mechanically inclined with understanding of mechanical devices and assemblies.
• Experience with firearms is preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the product development team in managing and executing all deliverables with limited supervision.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and balance resources and priorities.
• Maintain NPI process mastery and related cross-functional processes.
• Communicate status, risks, and mitigation plans to executive management and stakeholders.
• Escalate conflicts and propose triage solutions to resolve issues.
• Drive BOM release, drawings, routings, and manufacturing process validation throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance to customer and internal requirements and drive remedial actions when needed.
• Oversee pre-production readiness activities including PLM/BOM release, assembly and packaging, and supply chain readiness.
• Develop execution strategy and project plans with cross-functional teams.
• Define project scope and communicate priorities to the team.
• Monitor cost through development and pursue cost reduction to improve profitability.
• Maintain ISO docs and train team members; participate in 5S standards.
