Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, seeks an NPI Supervisor to oversee day-to-day manufacturing execution for new products from engineering builds through LRIP and ramp to sustained production.

You will translate product requirements into safe, executable shop-floor plans and serve as the primary Production representative across Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Test, and Program Management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing, production, operations, or NPI.
• 2+ years leading technicians, operators, or production teams.
• Experience with prototypes, pilot production, LRIP or ramps.
• Knowledge of shop-floor operations and production data.
• Ability to interpret data and drive decisions using KPIs.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead production execution for prototypes, engineering builds, pilot runs, LRIP, and launches.
• Develop build plans and daily schedules aligned with milestones.
• Own staffing, materials, tooling, fixtures, and documentation for readiness.
• Coordinate readiness and resolve constraints before milestones.
• Represent Production in design reviews and customer visits.
• Drive improvements from lessons learned and post-build reviews.
• Provide floor leadership, set safety and quality expectations, and handoff to sustained production.
• Track yield, throughput, downtime, and labor efficiency; report status to leadership.
