Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a Product Supply NPI Professional to drive New Product Introduction in the Cat Technology supply chain.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to ensure timely, cost-effective launches and smooth transitions from development to production. You will monitor supplier readiness, manage spend on tooling and packaging, and apply Six Sigma methods to optimize performance and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead supply chain activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs to support successful product launches.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Procurement, Operations, and suppliers to execute product and supply chain strategies.
• Manage sourcing activities and supplier readiness, including supplier selection aligned with category strategies.
• Forecast and manage launch-related procurement expenditures, including supplier tooling and packaging investments.
• Develop, monitor, and drive conformance to cost, quality, inventory, delivery, and response time targets.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks while providing recommendations to support sound business decisions.
• Participate in S&OP and cross-functional program reviews to communicate status and resolve issues.
• Apply Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies to improve business performance.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to identify and meet critical customer requirements.
• Monitor program performance, provide feedback on results, and ensure compliance with corporate NPI processes.
• Ensure systems, processes, and supply chain capabilities are in place to support a seamless transition from development to production.
