Job summary

Wolfspeed, Inc. in Durham, NC seeks a hands-on Product Development Engineer to own new products from concept to qualification. You will collaborate with BU and R&D to build out NPI/NTI roadmaps, drive process transfer, and ensure quality while minimizing cycle time.

The role requires leading cross‑functional teams, analyzing SPC and yield data, and performing root-cause investigations to maximize product quality. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering or related discipline with 5+ years semiconductor manufacturing experience.
M.S. in Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years semiconductor manufacturing experience.
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Experience with QA/QC, SPC, and process control in semiconductor environments.
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interface across orgs.

Responsibilities

Own new products from concept to qualification and drive processes to maximize quality.
Coordinate NPI/NTI activities across BU, R&D, and manufacturing teams.
Develop and execute roadmaps for manufacturing NPI and process transfer.
Communicate material status, issues, and successes to stakeholders.
Analyze SPC, yield, and parametric data to inform actions plans.
Lead root cause investigations to maximize quality and minimize cycle time.
