Job summary

Safran Electrical & Power in Twinsburg, OH seeks a Purchasing professional to drive sourcing strategies for development and OE production. You will collaborate with Engineering and Quality to ensure Design to Cost and seamless integration across programs.

The role requires 3+ years in purchasing, with strong negotiation and supplier development capabilities to manage risk and secure supply continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years in Purchasing or related field; equivalent experience available in lieu of degree.
• Experience in project and supplier management, automotive/aerospace electronics environment preferred.
• Negotiation and supplier development skills; ability to lead APQP processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as Purchasing focal between suppliers and internal stakeholders (Quality, Engineering, SPQM, Program Manager).
• Lead Design To Cost discussions with Suppliers and Engineering teams.
• Develop and send RFQ packages aligned with Commodity Manager strategy.
• Prepare and lead the Supplier Choice Committee (SCC).
• Ensure RC targets align with the Business Plan and implement mitigation plans.
